Our little lab is tucked into the east side of Los Angeles. Here in our city, violent abductions, violent intimidation, and violent suppression of protest have only continued to escalate. It has been difficult to translate into words what feels like a scream of grief and rage.
Yesterday, today and tomorrow: we stand against the violence and systemic cruelty enacted by ICE, along with the agencies, organizations and power structures enabling them. We believe in the fundamental human right to safety and dignity. The targeted terrorization of immigrant communities is an attack on our neighbors and friends.
We originally created this collection of 3 limited-edition Thorn Bite Lip Oil shades for a cause-centered event. Chroma Obscura—including Night Flower, Night Bloom and Night Glow—was born in the spirit of supporting social justice. We are rereleasing them now with a renewed purpose, and committing our production to keeping them available through Monday.
From Friday, Feb. 6 through Monday, Feb. 9, 100% of net profits from the rereleased Chroma Obscura shades will be donated to incredible immigrant rights organizations doing essential work in legal aid and humanitarian support.
We tremendously admire these organizations and their important work, and you absolutely do not need to order from us to donate to them. We strongly encourage you to donate directly and get involved, and we hope you will support their missions by any means you choose.
